DESCRIPTION:Fingerless mitts are a nice quick project for holiday giving and they are a good chance to learn some new skills.  In this class we’ll make some worsted weight fingerless mitts with a cable up the back of the hand.  We’ll work them circularly so that you can learn and/or practice small circumference knitting in the round. The cable will be a basic one for an easy learning experience if you are new to cabling.  And if you are comfortable with both these skills\, you’ll get a free pattern for a quick knit and companionship while you knit!  Bring 100 g. worsted weight yarn\, double points\, 2 circulars\, or a long circular in 1 size smaller than you usually knit it in\, and a cable needle.

DESCRIPTION:Brioche Knitting makes a wonderfully squishy cloth that is toasty warm. You’ll learn the basic single-color version and start a hot mat. Once you are comfortable with basic brioche\, we’ll try two colors on the hot mat. Then we’ll talk about some of the next steps in Brioche\, such as in the round\, and maybe plan your next project.
